  1. Better for a an older child 4 Star Review

For a little bit older child, maybe two and a half to three years, this is a great toy. My daughter just turned two and had difficulty with it. The recommended start age is 18 months - I think that is a little young. I've put the toy away and will get it back out a little later, when she can enjoy it more.

  2. Good gift! 4 Star Review

I got this for my niece who just turned two. She has not quite figured it all out yet, so right now we are just showing her what to do. But it is great quality.

  3. Stays interesting and challenging... 5 Star Review

Its good bang for the buck... Well made and lots of ways for your child to explore shapes, colors, and of course puzzle elements. The unpainted part of the toy was easy enough for my almost 2 year old. The spinning peg part, is challenging...but in a good way. She first figured out how to spin the shapes off, then on. And as mentioned, there is stacking, color and shape naming and the board itself to work on too. A great gift (since its unusual enough that most folks won't have it yet). I'd say its perfect for a 18mo - 2yr old!

(For the mfg... why not make the unpainted board puzzle each different shapes so they need to attach in a specific way...too hard maybe? Also, a resting piece for the puzzle would be nice for storage.)

  4. Beautiful & Challenging 5 Star Review

I wanted something durable, attractive and something my 18 month old wouldn't get bored with in a day. This toy was it! It has several levels of challenge including the large puzzle base + the blocks that go onto the pegs like "keys" in a sense. So you have to figure out which way to twist the pieces to get them on and off. Then on top of that, the blocks only fit onto a particular base. Plus there's a color grouping level of learning too. My son has yet to figure it all out and it's been about a week. I think this'll keep him perplexed (and entertained) for a while which is a good thing for mommy.
